making all will require lots of builders, patience, and time
id make a part for now, like harlem or manhattan

you cant make all of new york, because it will ask you more than 5 years, im sure you will build 0,1% and give up.
I started to build the biggest city of the game 3 years ago, and i havent made 50% and were are more than 10 working on it.
In amount of bricks i planted and number of the builds i made in the city i do, id say i could have built 30 or 40% of manhattan only.
And you will be out of bricks (1 million) because of the amount of towers. Just make a part around statue of liberty, its so easy lol

I recommand you to concentrate on some area only, it will be easier and pretty good if you want to make a dm map or someting else.

Do something super simplified with modter to keep the birckcount down and so that you don't end up spending years or months.
Also focus on specific sections like times square for example or the empire state building and the buildings around it, NY is a huge city and even building it with modter is ambitous so good luck.
