RIP RadioShack

So, I went to the RadioShack at my local mall and the store is closing (few items, everything on sale, big signs, etc).
Unfortunately, RadioShack is going bankrupt and is going to suffer the same fate as Circuit City.

the one in a nearby town and the mall sold stuff for like, circuit boarding and breadboarding and whatnot. it's where i got the wires and lighting and buttons etc for a crt helmet i made a while back.

As soon as they stopped carrying the neat gadgets and cool-looking doohickeys, they went to stuff

I remember the sheer joy of walking into a Radioshack and just browsing the stock of awesome stuff that looked so futuristic. Now it's just boring phone accessories and useless garbage nobody wants

I remember I only ever liked looking at their R/C cars. Not sure I've ever made a purchase at one. I'm curious how we still have one where I live.

I never even realized Circuit City hasn't been around lol.

Yeah I went out to dinner to go the 99 the other day at the mall w/ a friend and we walked past a closing radio shack too. We got depressed after she said "some people are going to be jobless now"

Correction: they officially went bankrupt 1-2 weeks ago.

All stores will be closed by some time in March, iirc.
