Author Topic: guys think about how much the social web grew over the past 5 years  (Read 1594 times)

It's really weird that all these random fandoms popped up, and how the iphone wasn't nearly as popular, nor were twitter, instagram or snapchat really used (nor were some even there)

5 years ago, bronies barely existed
5 years ago, barely anyone knew what 4chan was
5 years ago, you weren't considered antisocial for not having a phone

it's just so weird to me

remember when you were encouraged not to use your real name

That's called being poor, not antisocial

It really does show how long 1825 days is literally and figuratively.

pfft you haven't been to the schools I've been to

"oh you don't have facebook? what are you, an antisocial nerd?"

remember when you were encouraged not to use your real name
I remember those weird dark times when you couldn't give out your full name, age, place of birth, mother's maiden name, first pets name, passport info, official photograph, bank sort code, debit/credit card number and security number, pin, blood type, stool sample and latest pair of used underwear.

I love living in the future now, though.

i wish they would all just forget off the internet

now it's just post your social security number on twitter and laugh about it

They forget at brony conventions.

i wish they would all just forget off the internet

honestly, I don't wish they would go away, but would just stay in their own corner of the internet. Like not flooding other forums and sides with their fandom.

or do what furries did in the early days of their fandom and just didn't talk about it

They forget at brony conventions.
>implying bronies forget at all

They forget at brony conventions.
i doubt that because they all hate each other secretly anyway

if all the bronies were in a pit dipped with gasoline and someone threw in a match, id pull up a chair, put a marshmallow on a stick and heat it up on brony flames

Well, that's still pretty common, I think. I don't know what's up with this forum that there's a relatively peaceful and large thread for it.

That is insanely gross. I wouldn't want brony smoke anywhere near my mouth, much less something cooked in brony fire.

well even as an anti brony myself, I don't really see a need to be needlessly cruel to them

like they're still people - I might not like them at all - but there's no need to single them out from the rest of mankind and say "these ones should die"
