Author Topic: what does it feel like when a new tooth comes in?  (Read 1644 times)

1 out of 3 (or 5, can't remember) persons don't fully grow their wisdom theets.
I'm one of them :)

oh well, look at the good side, i'll be getting high from nitrous oxide B)

My wisdom teeth grew in just fine, but maybe you should go get yours checked...

I didn't need to have any of my wisdom teeth removed.

haven't gotten my wisdom teeth in yet (i think)

thing says 17 - 25, so i guess i sprouted early

Regardless you should go see a dentist about issues with your teeth.

is it supposed to be sharp when coming out of the gums though?
The edges can be a bit sharp, yes, as they're not smoothed down by use yet.

Also, since yours are coming in on the bottom, you may find them more uncomfortable. You don't really have a gap where they are, and they come right through the gums which normally hug your older teeth.

On the top row they can be easier, since you often have a nice space between your backmost teeth and the gum at the back of your mouth.

They can come in as early as 15, and they can take a long time too.
I had mine start at the age of 17, but only on the top row. I am now 19 and they still aren't fully developed. I have no sign of the ones on the bottom row.
Luckily mine don't cause me any pain or discomfort.

Make sure to keep good dental hygiene with them, as they're new and not always as strong.
They can go bad with a lot of people because they can be prone to a rapid tooth decay with poor hygiene.

Here's some good advice regarding Wisdom Teeth and their removal (which isn't always necessary).

how do you forget up this bad

Ugh wisdom teeth hurt so bad when they come in, I still have mine and they cause constant (minor) mouth pain.

they aren't very wise yet, they aren't telling me what to do with the dead body.

Both my parents never had their wisdom teeth come through... similar story with my older sister ;-;

Now I've got to live up to the family name and continue the tradition of no wisdom!... owait.

It's actually more normal for when you "mature" - ala 18+. Not sure where did that 15 come in.

Yeah pretty sure that's what I've heard. I've had soreness and rawness in the back of my gums, particularly on the bottom, but nothing has ever come through.

You're 15, how do you know?
