Author Topic: what color is this dress - MYSTERY SOLVED ITS BLUE AND BLACK SEE LAST POST  (Read 15076 times)

well, this thread has been fun so far
and it solved an argument in my floor's lounge, so woo

IT CHANGED AGAIN. i understand its an optical illusion but why does it change like that
same reason that a color looks different based on what other colors surround it, i think.
It changed for me wtf
it's a goddamn optical illusion

its not meant to be an optical illusion you guys are just experiencing some weird eye trickery, as predicted in that quote you guys didnt believe

you're all wrong guys
it's green and silver

yeah it keeps changing for me

ah i understand now. when someone posts a picture of it with different lighting and tint, i start to see that until i see a different one. i cannot explain this good enough

oh boy it changed for me

but that kylie jenners thing didn't i think that's just somebody who's loving around

-
mystery solved, its a blue-black dress that was shot with such a loving potatotastic camera that it looked white and gold
with this considered that means it would be right to call it white and gold

because that's what the picture is portraying.

its white and gold you stuff licker

where the hell are people seeing black OR blue in this picture

the image given is given with the message, "is this black and blue or white and gold". the image states nothing about editing the brightness on the photo, changing the size of the photo, or anything of that matter.
the image is simply provided as-is, with no instructions on editing given.
what you are doing is changing the brightness of the photo, changing hue, and a variety of other things, thus changing the color. the image, while unedited, appears to be white and gold, but when a closer look is taken, the white appears as a very light blue. because the only choices provided were "blue and black" and "white and gold", this answers simply nothing. either you round up or down on the colors, making them lighter or darker, something that it does not state to do, or you go ahead with the incorrect answer of "gold and blue"

the colors were all an illusion

the colors were all an illusion
Nah, the picture taken was so bright that people saw it was white and gold.

well i will sleep well tonight knowing that i was right all along even if it was due to unfair circumstances

and I can sleep realizing I know my colors better than you blue/black heathens
