ABS FIESTA REDUX

Meet's over by now but this phone refuses to allow me to edit the load out sheet. Sorry Qwepir. I'll have a semi-standard load out outlined tomorrow.


I climb in. Feels pretty good all in all. I activate the helmet-mount HUD and switch on master electronics. The engines whine loudly as they start. One turns over to a whistle, then the other. I watch the engine statistics on a liquid crystal screen in the Typhoon's glass roosterpit. I hit a button and the roosterpit comes down over me, and seals. I plug in the oxygen and take a deep breath of the cold air.

"Tower Mjolnir cleared for takeoff Runway 9 climb to 20 and hold."

I watch shock diamonds grow from the tail of a black figure and speed off. A marshaller directs me out of the hanger and onto a yellow line leading to the runway.

"Tower Mjolnir altitude restrictions cancelled. Form up on the transport."

I pull on to the runway and wait for the others to catch up.

Yep, it's a new set of sprites that represent your systems. The set of chevrons represents turbochargers, and the radar dish represents an Artemis module.

And the thing under your gun is its heat gauge, the more you shoot the more it fills up. When it's full you gotta lay off the trigger. I meant to introduce that ages ago but it slipped my mind.
