"Akemi Yui. Born in the Kintharian islands. Figured I'd sign up for ROTC to pay for college, and here I am now. Somehow not dead."

"Ralph Johnson. It's kind of a long story but I was rescued as a slave, lived in Mercana for a few years, and then flew to NAUC to fight my country. Now that I think about it I don't know why I didn't enlist for Mercana, but whatever. I'm here now."

you tip your partner's lithe body down onto the motel bed and quickly get to work liberating her from her clothes. oddly, instead of a pair of smooth, delicate legs, removing her pants only reveals a second set of fatigues, several ballistic plates, and a holstered machine pistol. you look up at her face, expecting an explanation, and are greeted with the unmistakable visage of a deltan commando. he places a single hand firmly on the top of your skull, and twists your head off like a bottle cap.

Jaakko is surprised by Bell's sudden appearance.

"-Uh, sure, let's go. It's this way, follow me,"

Jaakko whistles loudly to get the dogs attention, and beckons them to follow.

Tippy rolls her eyes at the sudden appearance of Bell without greeting and follows reluctantly.

Bell catches Tippy and Jaakko conversing in the corner of her eye as she is about to leave the med facility. Bell approaches, but waits for them to finish up their conversation.
Sorry for the lack of a greeting, though.

With some straining Gus notices Musashi and the others in the poorly lit bar. He heads over and takes a seat. "I haven't formally met any of you, actually. My bad. My full name is Gustav Thomsen. Born in middle-of-no-where north Aesthia. Something told me I should apply for the military, and the Air force recruiters were the first guys I saw. How about you guys?"

After waiting for everybody else to finish their stories, Musashi begins hers.
: I came from the Xarian States, and I'm actually not Kintharian at all, if you can believe it. Ended up living in Kintharia most of my life, but I've got my own little tie to Xaria. I ended up enlisting shortly before the 4906 conflict.

Her face darkens briefly as she mentions the first war she fought in, but she continues quickly.
: Anyways, after that I got put under the command of a junior officer who quickly rose through the ranks during that war, she's currently the SIC in Raiden. Then this war started and now we're all scooting around trying to keep ourselves alive.

Jaakko opens up the kennel and flicks on the lights. The florescent buzz is overwhelmed by noise of the jungle, though at least it's cooler inside than it is outside.

The ground is a hard quick-poured concrete. The kennels are spacious, probably for the massive dogs. Very little is left in them, a bowl here, spilled water there. There are few rooms.

"Do you plan on taking them with you if we transfer to another base again?"

"Good point," Bell brushes the sole of her boot lightly against the floor.

"Well, make sure you make it back from each mission so that we won't have to deal with your new best friends."
