yeah i can wait a turn
VTOL base EV 72
No piloting bonuses or penalties
HSM x2 provides penalty of 50
Flare x2 provides bonus of 80
Test taken at EV 102
Roll: 80 - Success
Test passed

The VTOL expends both its flares to evade your heatseekers, but they don't do much good against the shower of beams dispatched its way.

Tippy satisfied contacting the tanks heads back to the fight and opens up on the underbelly of air cruiser 1 with a UAC and HSM
The underside of the cruiser does not provide sufficient heat signiatures to obtain a lock on anything. The UAC strikes the starboard anti-ground cannon, doing moderate damage.

Bell launches two of her AGMs at the cruiser's bridge and four MML missiles at the PD turrets.
One of the AGMs is shot down, as is one of the MMLs, but the rest reach their mark. Two PD turrets are destroyed, and the bridge section takes some damage.

Gus fires off an AAM at the VTOL along with a burst of LCP fire.
VTOL base EV 72
No piloting bonuses or penalties
AAM provides penalty of 35
Test taken at EV 37
Roll: 80 - Failure
Test failed

The VTOL fails to evade the AAM and is finished off by the twin pulse lasers.

Walt fires his KSM straight into the bridge of the cruiser
The shot goes straight through the windows, and you get to watch the ensuing fireball escape through this new opening. You are about to pass the cruiser on your next turn, so you'd better decide whether you want to go over or under.

forget me, I actually missed! The result of Richard's distracted shooting and bad trigger discipline become clear as the PPC beam streaks across the front of the second cruiser, far behind his intended target. Trying to calm himself down, he breaks off from the VTOL and circles around, this time setting his sights on the cruiser. He takes another shot with the PPC at the cruiser's bridge.
The PPC sets off another explosion in the already badly-mangled bridge.

I pull high enough above the deck of the turbo-laser cruiser to fire off my other two AGMs at the already-damaged gun.
The two AGMs finish off the wrecked gun turret.

The remaining drone fires its two AGMs at the radar dome atop Cruiser-1 destroying it. Cruisers 2 and 3 begin backing off, towards the river and away from the city. If ever you were wondering what fear looks like in a building-sized slab of metal, this would be it.

Jaakko bites the inside of his cheek nervously.
"-sorry, I though I was upsetting you," He says nervously.
: You weren't, not really at least. Why would you think that?

I just wanted to make a suggestion to kill the cruisers faster, I'm sorry I guess
You can always drop the AAMs and go back to the AWACS to resupply with JSMs or AGMs.

Gus breaks off and heads back. "AWACs, I need two AGMs in my expended AAM slots."

I head under the cruiser and unload my F- 12 into the center engine(maglev thing?) And back turret with a shot from the UAC

"You gave me a couple of weird looks when I mentioned the dogs. Sorry,"

"One gun down, one to go."
I head over to the AWACs queue to wait.
"Gonna need four more AGMs."

Bell starts lining up another run on the first cruiser.

European Detected
we've called it a queue since day one
and pls check my local time

"Drone, disengage and return to formation." Richard turns around to make another pass, ascending and firing at the remaining turbo-laser with both LCBs.

You lay into the central levitation array with a full salvo of heavy rockets, blowing it to tiny bits which then rain down on you as you pass under, pinging off your armor or getting sucked into the intakes. The cruiser begins listing forward slightly, but is maintaining its altitude. Someone on the ground notices and expresses his displeasure with this development.
: Hey, hey, hey! Have you lost your mind? Don't shoot out the damn engines when it's within crashing distance of our little slice of home!

Gus breaks off and heads back. "AWACs, I need two AGMs in my expended AAM slots."

You both head over towards the AWACS, and will arrive next turn (for simplicity's sake).
: Understood, warming up COMRO now.

Bell starts lining up another run on the first cruiser.
You are now at a safe distance to take another run, this time coming in from the port side.

"Drone, disengage and return to formation." Richard turns around to make another pass, ascending and firing at the remaining turbo-laser with the PPC.
: AFFIRMATIVE.

The drone falls in behind you and follows you as you set up for your next run, which will happen on the next turn. The remaining top (or bottom, depending on whether you tried to go over or under) PD gun makes a feeble attempt to shoot you down.

"You gave me a couple of weird looks when I mentioned the dogs. Sorry,"
: Did I? Whoops. Didn't mean to scare you off.

I attempt to get in range of air cruiser 1 so I can try to launch another 2 HSM's at it.

Tippy flys back around this time firing her UAC on the remaining Laser on cruiser 1

Do note that the cruiser doesn't give off sufficient heat signiatures for HSMs to get a lock on anything but the levitation arrays. Granted, you can still dumbfire them in the general direction of what you want to hit and hope for the best, but you won't be able to pick out specific parts like you'd be able to with an AGM, MMS, or anything that is traditionally shot at ground targets.

Bell approaches the cruiser on her run and fires off the remaining MML missiles and the AGM at the remaining laser turret on it.

I'll try to hit it with my MMS then, preferably at that big gun in the back of the top view
