"[I've never played, either. We could look it up, or enjoy our drinks before they get warm. Or just keep throwing darts at the board for fun.]"
I toss a dart at the bullseye just to see if I can.

Richard looks at Jaakko as he buries his face in his palms. Tippy's voice rings across the table, startling him.

"I- uh, nothing...," he trails off. "... I... I don't really remember seeing you without your helmet."

Feeling a little unsettled, Richard waves to the bartender and asks for whatever IPA is on the tap.
"Oh. Yeah that. Sorry. I usually keep it on but i've become a little better in the head lately so having it off is a step in the right direction. I don't mean to spook you eheh."

Tippy shifts uncomfortably in her seat

Gus echoes the general rattled mood of all of Mjolnir. He ponders the startlingly similar reactions of his squad, who prevented a nuclear war, and those that helped create the tools to start them. He abruptly begins laughing quietly and shaking his head, mouthing the words "what the forget" several times.

After a moment he slaps his hand onto the table. He locks eyes with everyone at the table for a short moment before proceeding. "God damn it, we just stopped a nuclear war." He repeats the end of that sentence after a pause, slower this time.

"Why would anyone allow a high value target of that magnitude to escape? I have no doubts that he would not have returned us the favor of our lives. I have seen how much damage Mjolnir alone has done ever since Taiton. I have no doubts that the Sky Marshal is a brilliant man, and I believe he would rather have killed us there if our roles were reversed. Mjolnir has easily destroyed billions of dollars of military hardware since Taiton! The losses we have incurred to his forces! He would have never let us live!"

Jaakko pinches the bridge of his nose, and covers his stomach with his free arm, almost fetally. He is overcome with a wave of emotions.

"I couldn't do it, I never pull rank on anyone, and I should have there. Dozens of our own men could die for this, all we had to do was shoot down two loving aircraft," He laments.

"I'm still split over what we should have done, but thinking with mind over matter, he needed to die, for our own sides sake,"

Jaakko wishes for the boilermakers to brought to him.

After a moment, it sinks in.
"What the hell..." I mutter almost inaudibly, with a grin on my face.

"Oh. Yeah that. Sorry. I usually keep it on but i've become a little better in the head lately so having it off is a step in the right direction. I don't mean to spook you eheh."

".. Ah, glad to hear."

Richard manages to force a smile, but it quickly fades as Jaakko's agony casts a shadow over the table. A tinge of irritation seeps into his otherwise temperate disposition.

"Gus here speaks the truth."

Feeling a little unsettled, Richard waves to the bartender and asks for whatever IPA is on the tap.
Jaakko wishes for the boilermakers to brought to him.
The bartender and one of his staff returns with everyone's (who already ordered anyway) orders. Yukamo waits for the establishment's owner to depart before continuing.
: Jakko, I think you're just a little shaken after you almost got front row seats to the end of the world. I mean, most people would probably have completely folded under that sort of stress. Look on the bright side, you guys are going to be international heroes or something! Or if you still can't find the bright side, well... drink up. It helps, believe me.

She downs one of her shots and immediately has a coughing fit.
: Oh my. That- *cough* that is quite potent. I should not have ordered two.

"[I've never played, either. We could look it up, or enjoy our drinks before they get warm. Or just keep throwing darts at the board for fun.]"
I toss a dart at the bullseye just to see if I can.
You can't, not this time anyway, but it lands pretty close. Nagato throws another dart and sticks it into the wall outside the board.
: [Bah. This thing is broken.]

Tippy can see Nagato's terrible aim from across the room and snickers audibly.

Jaakko eases as attention is drawn off him.

"I don't know if I like the idea of drinking to get drunk," he says, preparing to mix his whiskey and beer.

He holds the shot over the beer glass.

"Wait- stuff, who's going to drive the second truck?"

I'm going to drink until I can't remember this stuff. Gus takes his beer, noting that it was the same one he had gotten on his first visit to a Deltan bar despite him swearing he ordered something else. He shakes his head and sighs, suddenly feeling very emotionally and physically drained.

The dim ceiling light near the table flickers. His glance that way reminds him he is sitting next to the Raiden pilot he had ran into during the simulation. He flushes with embarrassment at not offering a greeting, hopefully concealed by the poor lighting. "Oh, hey Ilona."

"I'll drive. I'm going to stay sober for today. AND I'm armed, so i don't think i should be drunk and loaded at the same time."

"[Sure it's not your throwing arm that's malfunctioning?]"
I toss another dart towards the bullseye.

Jaakko drops the shot into the beer glass.

The contents of the glass bubble.

"Sure you wouldn't be loaded and carrying?" He remarks to Tippy.

He begins chugging the mix as it fizzes.

"I don't understand the question."
