The strike package exits the narrower parts of the canyons and enters a far more open region. Dead ahead is a plateau upon which the Imperials have built their base. Multiple repair docks hang off the side, ready to tend to any damaged ships.
: Finally, some action! Where we headed, Frisk?
: If there's fighters on their way, I'm in no hurry to stick around. Let's just hit Alpha and- oh Gods, that wasn't in the briefing.

The repair docks at alpha are housing a destroyer. Whether or not it's operational remains to be seen.

For reference: Mjolnir is entering from the bottom of the screen, so to speak. Therefore, site Alpha is closest, and getting to site Gamma would mean going up against two SAMs unless you take the time to go all the way around the plateau. As for the SAMs, you can only be targeted by the SAMs in the site you're making an attack against, unless you fly too high up (like, say, to dogfight). Then, any emplacement can target you, including ones that may be farther inside the facility.

Hitting the turbo will allow you to catch up to the Typhoons, but the most direct route to the enemy planes will force you over the plateau and in sight of multiple SAMs. Not saying you can't or shouldn't do that, just making sure you're sure of your choice.

As you're lining up, Pansar takes the initiative and launches a pair of AGMs at the moored destroyer.

They strike along the top rear of the craft, taking out two PD emplacements and doing some significant damage to the structure of the vessel. Of note is that none of the PD fired at the incoming munitions, meaning Walt's bomb run has a much higher chance of success than it would under normal circumstances. The SAMs, on the other hand, are quite clearly active.

While everyone else is either lining up or getting into position, you spot two VTOLs taking off inside the base.
