: Bah. I've fought competent fighters before. Lieutenant Akerman over there is a competent fighter, so's Pansar. I'm pretty sure if she took on either of them, it'd go the same way it just did.

Before turning to leave, Gus remembers he saw Coaxoch here earlier. He looks for her in an attempt to judge her reaction.

She appears to have been watching the fight from the lifting bench, and is still watching Musashi try to help Nagato. She doesn't look particularly disturbed by the way the fight ended, and you can probably hazard a guess as to why.

Tippy catches bits of the conversation as she made her way by Virvel and Walt and stops.

"Nagato has always been more of a barker than a biter. But i got to give her credit for not backing down personally." Tippy says to Virvel.

Walter remembers the previous exchange with Tippy but decides not to say anything for the time being

"It's too bad she didn't last longer."

Jaakko glances briefly between Walt, Virvel, and Tippy. He gets up and heads for the door, wearing an unimpressed look.

Gus leaves the gym and heads to the rec room.

Walter remembers the previous exchange with Tippy but decides not to say anything for the time being
"It's too bad she didn't last longer."

: Yeah, can you believe she thought I was supposed to be scared of her? Pretty sure I set the record straight as to how that's supposed to work.

Gus leaves the gym and heads to the rec room.

Eremit is still basically the only one around, still reading his book.

Walter lets off a nervous burst of air through his nose while smiling and talks softly off his breath to himself

"Didn't even need to fight me..."

Gus walks to the sofa and grabs the remote. He looks over at Eremit, reading.

"You mind if I turn on the TV?"

Jaakko gets his dogs from his room and takes them back to the rec room. He falls into a seat next to Gus.

He pinched the bridge of his nose and leans forward.

"I swear to the Gods she is a sadist," Jaakko says.

Yui heads back over to the treadmill to finish her jog, then heads for the showers.

"I haven't felt that disgusted since before college, when a friend first dragged me into a kickboxing gym."

The edges of Gus's mouth curl in distaste at the memory.

"I was only nineteen at the time. There was a twenty-some year old Northern Aesthian there that thought he was hot stuff. He only sparred with less experienced members and would do things such as that. Hunting for knockouts in training, fighting long after someone had hit the mat and stopped protecting themselves, below the belt hits, illegal elbows... he was unpleasant."

"I've known a couple people like that- But Virvel, she is actually a sadist,"

Jaakko shifts and swallows.

"When the Pertinax caught me, and I went to the bridge, Virvel had stabbed the Captain to death, Rikard was exclaiming to Virvel that the Captain was dead. She had a look of savage glee on her face. Hell- like a week ago she got excited when Walt was bantering her about kill counts. She grabbed Walt and gave him that same look,"

Gus is acutely aware of Eremit sitting near them.

"I didn't know- that is..."

He trails off without continuing.

"She looted the Captain too," Jaakko ads.

The dogs investigate the room.

: What was that? You want me to fight you, too? Can't, man, I'm tired. Maybe tomorrow. Or in an hour.

Eremit pets one of the dogs as it comes near him.
