Cualli looks at his mask for a few moments. "I guess I never thought about how those might affect you. Gods, you must have been terrified. Sounds like it's a miracle you managed to land in one piece."

Gus heads to the hangar to meet the crew of the Condottiero before taking off.
Some of them are already aboard while the others assist in performing pre-flight inspections.

Cualli looks at his mask for a few moments. "I guess I never thought about how those might affect you. Gods, you must have been terrified. Sounds like it's a miracle you managed to land in one piece."
Eremit twitches, then shrugs off your hand.
: Oh, for- I don't need your pity.

Cualli blinks, looking visibly hurt. "I... didn't mean it that way," she says, pulling herself together. "Sorry. I just... hate that you had to go through that."

She clearly looks like she feels that she's overstayed her welcome and looks at Elu, probably hoping that he can help her recover from her blunder.

Gus boards the massive level bomber's crew compartment, looking over the stations of the drone controllers as well as his own post. The pilot is also aboard, performing pre-flight checks. Gus sets his helmet down on his chair and approaches the co-pilots seat.

"This is an impressive plane," he says, looking over the vast amounts of controls in front of them. He extends a hand towards the pilot.

"My name is Gustav Thomsen. I'll be the drone controller for this flight."

Elu has no advice to offer, and just stares at Cualli with its head roostered to one side.

The pilot returns the shake
: Iiro Harkonen. Hope you don't mind tight spaces, Izzy didn't build this thing with headroom in mind.

Cualli sighs, realizing that she's just going to have to accept that they're going to part on a sour note. She looks down at Arkhip. "Just... good luck out there," she says quietly, then leads Elu out.

She wanders through the corridors and eventually finds her way to the gym. Cualli sits down somewhere out of the way, holds her head, and stares at the floor.

"Won't be a problem, Captain."

Gus takes his seat behind the pilots chair and familiarises himself with the alien controls.

Yui stops the treadmill after finishing her run. She checks her time, notes it mentally, and heads over to her bag, taking a drink of water from her bottle. She stretches for a moment, sits on a bench, then notices Cualli staring at the floor, and her expression.
"Hey, you feeling alright?" Yui asks through labored breaths.

Cualli sighs and straightens up. "Just... frustrated. Frustrated that a friend is leaving on a sour note."

She leans back against the wall and stares up at the ceiling. "I guess I'm not cut out to try to be comforting or whatever."

You climb through the passage to the section above and behind the pilots where the drone taskmaster and defensive systems operator sit, and take a seat at your station. Before you are a number of monochrome displays and a large control board. One of the displays is a tactical map, another is drone status, the third, data on available targets, and a fourth is split into nine windows showing what the each of the drones see. Sitting across the narrow aisle from you is the defensive systems operator, doing a check on his own systems.

"I... I see. What happened? If you don't want to talk about it, I understand."
Yui waits for a response, a concerned look on her face.

"I was just talking to one of my friends, wanting to ask him about his previous experience at..." Cualli tries to recall the name but fails. "Korono-whatever. And I told him it was a miracle he got back in one piece and he just... snapped at me."

Graf decides to head for the gym before the mission - he hadn't worked out in ages due to the hullabaloo of transferring to Mjolnir and then moving onto the airship. As he walks in and absorbs the signature sights and smells of a gym, he notices Yui and another girl who he didn't know - based on her clothing, probably an engineer.

He overhears the conversation and decides to not interfere, beginning his warm-ups by stretching on the mat.

"Oh... alright. I'd say that you didn't do anything wrong, and maybe it's just something he didn't really want to talk about."

"Are you one of the ones going on the mission?" Cualli asks her.
