Tippy's thoughts flow away from Raiden back to her jet. Aiori is in the roosterpit...hidden, stuff. If their investigation of our planes is thorough, thats one less option on the table and they are going to like me even less. The good news is that there is tons of ammo for her just hanging around.
Glancing over at you and your comrades' planes, you note that they are in fact being inspected. They haven't reached yours yet, but you see technicians checking Crash's roosterpit, and yours is next in line.

Jaakko looks around anxiously, a scowl on his face. Raiden had ought to convince the Imperials that we're helping them. Or was this just a set up? His feelings and thoughts alternate between wondering if Raiden betrayed him wondering if he's made the right choice to try to stop the end of the world. Supposedly.

He looks over at Tippy, then Walt. He wants to get their thoughts on the events unfolding, but remains silent, considering he has a gun to his head. He looks over to Raiden and sees if he can't make out what they're saying.
Whatever they're saying, it's not in a language Crash understands, so he has to resort to watching body language. The Imperial officer keeps looking over at your group and your aircraft, occasionally pointing out an individual or saying an aside to Xiaomei, who is apparently denying or at least having to correct about half of what the guy is saying with how much she's shaking her head.

: They hijacked the Wyvern and the accompanying drones, and the Kintharian unit already had lined up shots on our aircraft. Even if we took out the defectors, the rest of us would've been wiped out. We wouldn't be here otherwise.
: So rather than kill the traitors, you let them slip away and bolster the enemy's ranks. You had best pray your inaction doesn't end up costing Aesthian lives.

Walter closes his eyes and sighs, getting bored with holding his arms up. He fights the urge to say something snarky in the face of danger to pass the time.

Tippy would be tapping her foot if she were standing. maybe even checking her watch which she hasn't changed the battery to since Palestra.

Jaakko starts looking about the hangar bay, then over to his own aircraft.  He hopes the techs don't swipe any of the stuff that his father sent him.

He looks at the Skepna and frowns. One of Aesthia's Annoying Orange cards was about to be looked over by the technicians. Gods damnit.

And his father, who's still serving. What would he think of Jaakko right now. Surely he'd be berated.

Jaakko looks over and sizes up the men holding them hostage. As if he could do anything if he wanted to.

Virvel too attempts to fight the urge, and fails.
: Hey Ashes, watch out, I think that guy down there's got your number.

She roosters her head towards a Hyperion across the hangar floor from your group that just so happens to have its energy weapon directed your way.

There's about ten of them in total, only a few actually doing the pointing of guns. All of them appear to be between their mid twenties and late thirties and are in acceptable fighting shape. They are armed with submachine guns and are wearing similar uniforms to the forces you've encountered on the surface- the difference being that their ballistic protection is limited to a vest only, and they are wearing field caps instead of helmets.

Markus tries to listen in on what Xiaomei and the Imperial officer are talking about.

Walter looks with his head and checks where Virvel directed him

"Unnerving, but at least I know the bullets delivered to my back will put me out of my suffering first."

Bell clenches her fist but restrains herself from punching the radio.

: Fine. At least let me brief the other squadrons on the pilots I lost so they know what to look out for.

The conversation between Xiaomei and the Imperial officer ends. He walks over to the guard sergeant and orders him and his men to stand down.
: I understand the six of you are strongly opposed to Aesthia's proposed nuclear strike. Who among you came here to assist us in battle, and who to surrender?

Bell clenches her fist but restrains herself from punching the radio.
: Fine. At least let me brief the other squadrons on the pilots I lost so they know what to look out for.
: If you must, then do so quickly. Your squadron is going to be deployed with the first wave.

"I'm here to fight to make this madness end. And I'm sure the others here are too."

"The six of us are here to assist, none of us intend to surrender," Jaakko reports confidently.

"I-"
Markus takes a deep breath to calm his nerves before speaking.
"I'm here to fight."

"I'm ready to fight," Ash chimes, "I don't want us to come to nuclear warfare."

: Ordinarily we would have to undertake a lengthy induction process to properly prepare you for service, but we'll just have to take you at your word for now. You are now the First Auxiliary Squadron of North Aesthia. Come with me, we need to get you caught up.

The officer turns around and begins walking away, and the security detail probably isn't going to allow you to loiter for long.

Bell tries to get in contact with some of the other flight leads in the fleet, besides Kommandmant because he probably has a good idea of how to engage against the defectors already.
