Author Topic: FNAF 3 is out  (Read 5723 times)

The only reason i don't my panties in a bunch over this series is because the lore is nice, it doesn't keep me attached but i'm always looking for the next piece.
But from what i followed lore-wise this has to be the last game, 4 would be the cash grab because the killer's story has pretty much been revealed so there's not much more mystery.
But yeah this series is barely a game it's all the same regurgitated stuff

yes but if anyone calls it dumb do you and their community of pillow kickers shun them no matter what their point is
and you don't stop talking about it and obsessing about it, you have a pillow avatar and you constantly talk about it to people who even don't like it
you're getting into murky waters if you're implicitly claiming that liking something creates a substantial basis for community and hivemindish behaviour

people that are annoying are annoying because they're annoying. i can understand if being beat in the head with the same stick too many times can make that brand of stick a bit stale, but it's not really fair to people to associate unsatisfactory behaviour with a subject of interest.

but to answer your question, no, because that's dumb and childish and people that do that are dumb and childish

group shunning, even if this kids point isn't valid this is the most not helpful reviews i've ever seen

I'm not saying they're all bad, it goes for any community

ya ofc, and it's not the community that facilitates the behaviour. it's a matter of the individual at hand

heres a good review on the game, I don't see how its not helpful to others

It's like Minecraft all over again.
I don't think so. Minecraft got a love/hate relationship for completely different reasons. One of the big ones is that it doesn't actually come with many motivations for the player to continue. Unless the player knows about the ending (which wasn't even added for a long time) or is creative enough to want achieve something or simply is the explorer-type, they'll have no reason to want to stay in the game and of course they'll get bored and say the game "sucks".

Nobody at the time was really used to a game where you alone had to supply the motivation. There are a few games like that (Garry's Mod), but Minecraft's literal sandbox was unique enough to make it an actual problem.

there's an ending to minecraft? i'd probably play it if it had a quest system like starbound.

Minecraft didn't have 3 sequels in a year and the developers actually cared for their game

I think it's an issue with Minecraft. They expect you to go and talk to people like with the original Zelda, or do some online research to find out about:

A) All the craftable items
B) The existence of the Nether
C) How to get to the Nether
D) The existence of the ending
E) How to get to the ending

But I don't think that works as well as it should. That said, I don't know if a quest system would match the style of Minecraft. It's very focused on the player story, and they have in-game tools that allow you to express your in-game story (such as the journals/books). I think that any kind of designer-imposed story (aside from the end) would have a large impact on the game.

Here here.

I find it amazing how long they've been able to keep pushing it, and how its popularity continues to burn bright. Maybe one day they'll finally get a real engine and stop using the awful and unoptimised Java, though.

Starbound's quest system is utter stuff and filled with a bunch of hand-holding at the moment. It's like the devs think that players are morons.
Never mind that I located and posted solutions to a few dozen simple json errors over a year ago and none of them have yet been fixed by said devs. I used to mod for it and I quit last march because it was becoming so painfully obvious the devs had no idea what they were doing and would most likely break everything.
OT: I'm with McJob above.

fnaf is like so old and boring
its being pumped by minecraft kids so he makes more

If people like it I don't care if they make sequels but at the rate this guy is pumping sequels/prequels out is insane, 3 games within a year....

Aren't you the one who made a topic because you were featured in Kotaku's article on "funny reviews" or something?

Oh yeah I found it, here you go.

WHERE IS MY CASH

also warning theres a link that's nsfw

This isn't helpful either so IDK why you have an issue with someone who actually has a problem with the game.
