Author Topic: should i take this summer job?  (Read 515 times)

so i was offered a job at the place i go to get help for my mental issues. here's the thing though, i have to be a loving guidance counselor and help people who have similar things to me, and i'm not very good at doing that stuff. payment is unknown right now. should i accept it? it's only like 3 hours you go there, and they pick you up and drive you home themselves in a bus.

Kinda early for a summer job isn't it? But it sounds like a good job, No need for your car so you don't have to pay for gas money but the fact you will have to work with others with similar problems like you may be awkward...

i was offered, i didn't go look.

If I were you, I'd do it.

It seems like it would be worth it, to help people and get paid at the same time. It could very well indeed open up more options for you. It'd also look good on a future resume.

its not too early for summer job offers. he's probably been asked now to give time to think about it

If you're in the southern hemisphere, it's too late for a summer job, lol.

it's almost fall there i'm p sure. anyways, the thing is i'm not very good at that stuff, but i talk my friend out of Self Delete frequently, so i guess i'm good enough.

well don't take the job if you don't think you can do it

but i need money to go towards a new rig. who else is going to hire at 15?

You don't need a new gaming rig. You want a new gaming rig. If you want to build your rig, you need money. If you need money, you should accept the job. As Ceist said, you can learn a new thing or two.

You're lucky to get a job at a place you're familiar with, I'd grab it immediately.

If you think you can do it, go for it. They'll probably learn you what you have to do.

i'll still think about, but im going towards yes, thanks guys
