Don't think so. It's always more mature to have someone with more experience/has a job to do so for you - not because you're a wuss, but because they most likely know how to handle it better.

I don't believe that revenge is helpful.

You do realize that this expression is scorned now as an ancient mistake that perpetuates conflict instead of resolving it?
We have built up a criminal justice system everywhere but like forgetin somalia and they're working on it and it takes care of things in a way that is deliberate and in great part removed from bias.

If revenge is ever the answer, it is merely the coincidence of justice and emotional response. There is no reason to hold revenge as a useful construct.
