Congrats, I wasn't judging him. I just peeked into this thread and gave my opinion on your post. I don't even know who Jeremy Clarkson is (Besides the fact that he was apparently a part of top gear)

It is their fault if they find racism where there isn't any. They can choose to have a chip on their shoulder regarding innocent things, or they can choose to ignore a word.
Banning language just because it's been misused is utterly wrong.

The dog is literally named because he had black fur. In the same way you might name a dog blackie, or ginger, or cream.

If you go to a film about WWII, where the main plot is a squadron blowing up dams and killing 1600 people in drownings, and you find the name of a dead 70 year old dog to be the most offensive thing, then you're a loving idiot. Might as well censor the entire film if a name is so offensive.

it's night fox, don't bother arguing with him anymore at this point cause he's just not worth it

also is it just me or did anyone else feel the three were pised off with the producers for a long time

Then sod off. If you're going to butt into an argument between two people when you have no loving idea what they're even arguing about, interject your irrelevant opinion and then act high-and-mighty when one of them turns around and throws his argument at you then I'd suggest you stop and rethink that course of action lest it make you look like a complete tool

So, what is it that excuses you judging someone like this based on information that you were never meant to have?
what?
if someone didn't intend for me to know something, that doesn't mean I can't judge them for it. where is that idea even coming from?
True true, but all races and nations can be tribal.
um. okay. nobody said anything about that at all
The fact that the footage was discarded should be enough of a demonstration that he realised it was a mistake.
except he doesn't get to choose what is shown or what isn't

naming a dog the n word because it's black is definitely tribal...

is this it? this is your whole argument? I don't see any tiny or transparent text, but I still feel like I'm missing something

Nope.

You got these people on tumblr preaching that white people are the evilest beings to walk the earth, that only white people are tribal and the world would be better off without them. The irony is that these people happen to be white people themselves, much like you. They only talk about how evil the United States is, always bringing up slavery and the continuing civil rights issues that our country faces while pretending the rest of the world is some how better than us.

My great grandparents were native americans, many of them from the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribe. I have no problem with there being a football team called the Redskins or the chiefs. Yet only Obama and bunch of people are offended by it much like a bunch of white people get offended by other white people for things that might offend someone who isn't white.

If you going to be a offended by the word monday, then stop being a furry. Plenty of us believed in animal worship and a group of people called skin walkers which was the European equivalent of a werewolf. The Skin Walkers in native American culture are people who have the natural ability to shape shift into any animal they want. In Navajo culture, this ability is considered taboo. There is also a similar entity known as the Wendigo, which is often associated with people who resort to cannibalism often turn into beasts. Tribes like the Cree and Innu peoples believe in these beings. By some special interesting sort some sort of sona of an anthromorphic animal, you are committing appropriation on me, my ancestors, and my people.

That's okay, there are plenty of professional victims out there like Night Fox to get offended on your behalf.

speaking of which my highschool used to be called redmen

we even payed the natives for the name but some soccer mom said it was tribal and we had to change the name to Phoenix

i mean i can understand why it's a problem for people to say naughty words if it's something people get offended by

i personally don't put much stock into the idea that a word alone can inherently cause offence but i don't mind respecting other people's boundaries. the particular word in question has negative historical connotations and it's pretty reasonable that it was cut (and that the person that said it wasn't too happy about it either), even if it comes from an outdated version of a rhyme

If you can prove to me that Guy Gibson named his dog monday because it reminded him of Black People, then I will accept that having the dog named monday is tribal.

Until that point, like a normal person, I will assume and respect that it is called monday because it had black fur, and that the name isn't tribal.

I otherwise don't care if people are offended because someone named their dog on account of it's appearance, in the same way you might call a dog Spot, or a cat Stripes.
