Author Topic: Something's leeching off my Wi-Fi, but I don't know what  (Read 9803 times)

So recently, I discovered a few "unwanted visitors" on my Wi-Fi after noticing slow speeds this morning.

However, I don't know where they're from.

The first one is a "PRIVATE" vendor, with a MAC Address of 00:BB:3A:40:B1:CE. A MAC Address lookup brings up the vendor ZZZZ, but I'm not even sure that's right.

The second one is from Liteon Technolgoy Corporation, with a MAC Address of B0:05:94:AA:D8:A1. I don't know what device it is.

The final one I know is ours, because it has iTunes Music and Users folders.

What do I do? Could a guy get some help?

are there any settings on your router that will let you block a specific mac address?

Try resetting the password.
Or, if you're an starfish, try and search through their files

Put a password on your wifi like everyone else?
Whitelist?

There's a whitelist, but I'm afraid I'll cut off an important device, and it requires a lot of MAC Addresses to input.

And I really can't reset the password, that's up to my mother.

Track them down and ask them to stop
Shorten the WiFi range
Shoot them in the knee

And I really can't reset the password, that's up to my mother.
Just tell her whats going on?

create an elaborate system of ethernet cables then burn the wifi
