Author Topic: My drive just dissapeared (SOLVED)  (Read 2081 times)

I was rendering a video in Vegas, and suddenly it crashed.
I started vegas back up, but when I loaded the project, Vegas couldn't find the file.
So, I tried to find the file on a separate drive, but the ENTIRE DRIVE IS GONE
I have no idea what happened and I don't want the drive to break help

There's supposed to be G: but that just forgeted off somewhere

EDIT:
Solution: Open the case and make sure the drives are plugged in

If Windows, rightclick Computer, click Manage, go to Disk Management and make sure Windows actually knows that the drive exists and is connected to your PC.

sorry, i'm borrowing it. forgot to tell you

It's just not there.

Try shutting down your PC, open it up, push in the connectors to ensure that they're connected, reboot and do the same again.

perform an exorcism on your computer, a spirit is holding your drive hostage.

The disk might have failed, if restarting the pc doesn't solve the issue go into bios and check if the disk is there, if its not then you might have lost your data and will need to replace the disk :(

NOPE NOPE NOPE
I tried to render the video again and the same thing happened
It seems trying to write stuff to the disk kills it
All my files are there, but I can't write anything to the disk
