Author Topic: What causes people to be on the auto-ban list?  (Read 1700 times)

HUE HUE AUTOBAHN

Computermix is still on here iirc

Pretty sure his Compy account got banned.

can't forget cca
to add onto this Cca is already back with a new IP. I know this for a fact, what I don't know is his ign or ID

The only person I can think of who got IP banned was a user who bought all his IDs with a suspected stolen credit card number
Okiver

Sucking 37 richards in the parkinglot.

Most claimed "auto-bans" or "ban on sights" are processed bullstuff from the rumor mill.

Okiver is probably the only person who is truly ban on sight. Computermix isn't even really ban on sight, he's just on a short leash and that dude literally hand makes game breaking hacks. Iban is a real nig nog but I have a feeling Badspot wouldn't just ban him on sight rather than wait for him to do something.

Badspot will claim every once in a while that someone is "done" or "out" or what have you, but it's far too much energy to actually monitor who's who and ban 50 different people on sight. At the end of the day most people can come back after a few months after being told to leave forever and Badspot will just let it go until you become a problem.

What about Zapk?

What about Zapk?

Zapk tried that. He got banned even though he wasn't a problem. He even released a really cool script when he came back.

How long did he wait? Also, releasing a "really cool script" is a shady thing to do for him and probably made it worse for himself.

He waited around 3 months before coming back, and the first thing he did was post this: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=270758.0
I don't know about you, but that doesn't look shady at all to me, it looks quite nice.

Betelgeuse is definitely ban on sight. Anytime he makes an account, he is seen by Badspot as soon as he comes online and is permanently banned (some accounts were even deleted or had their posts wiped).

What about Cca? He recently got himself on the blockland ban list again.

that's very shady lol

that's very shady lol
Except the code isn't malicious and it's a very nice resource for GUI designers. How is that shady?

How is that shady?
how isn't it? he was banned for making that auto-updater script mess people's games up, right? then when he comes back, the first thing he does is posts another script
like being arrested for having child research, then starting a child photography business. even if you have 100% pure intentions, it's still 100% shady
