in order to help speed the game up and keep crowds of people for lingering too long you should make the player a bit faster

or alternately just the valve type player

I approve of this server, it is pretty damn good.

Im thinking about having a system where you earn a random amount of money to be able to buy certain things for one life.

Such as: Your target is worth 500 Dollars if you kill them, but if you kill your hunter, you will get half the amount money as you originally would. And the target's bounty could increase whenever they kill someone.

Stuff you could buy for one life could be:
 - A health regenerating pill
 - Armor that increases health by 25/50/75%
 - Explosive weapons
 - Etc. (got any more ideas?)

The stuff above is meant to be Overpowered, because if you kill more people, everyone will eventually target you. That way, when someone kills the OP player, they will then become the 'best player' with all the money they earned. Pretty much all the best players are picked by natural selection. This keeps the flow of the game (and bushido wont always kill everyone).

PS: Stats will (soon) all be bottom-printed, no more relying on looking at the chat messages.

trying to kill a single target will inevitably lead to you hitting multiple targets, and the game will then kill you for hitting 5 people you weren't supposed to hit

incidentally i take back what i said about 'killing targets should regenerate health': if you implement a feature like that you could totally just have people running around with pistols n stuff spychecking random dudes until they find the one guy who actually takes damage, then opening fire on the now-revealed target

explosive weapons in the old bounty hunter gamemode were garbage because of this
maybe have stuff like silencers and raycast weapons instead so that you're stealthier

or, even better, make it so that you can spend money on unlocking new more esoteric weapons permanently by doing really well in a single life or sticking around long enough to automatically generate the money

like, every time you kill an enemy you get 500 Bank and 500 Budget. you can spend Bank to permanently unlock new things like the crossbow, the scoped magnum, the slam shotgun or the scattergun or permanently lock away other guns that you don't like (so you, for instance, stop getting pistols akimbo or the sport rifle). meanwhile you can use Budget to purchase things for your next life like a guaranteed weapon, bonus armor, toys (like the clicking device from smm) or situational stealthy things like cloaking/escape/decoy/weapon-steal devices

also i would- in order to further facilitate unlocking new, interesting weapons through Bank- integrate some of t+t's skins and change them to operate noticably differently, in addition to balancing all weapons to generally be effective as tier 1 weapons

do things like remove the slowing effect from all machineguns except for the battle rifle, but have the battle rifle do generally less damage to compensate, or give the scattergun a freakishly and dangerously wide spread but extend the concussion blast to reach like 3 or 4 times the range

maybe even integrate a few of the quake-type weapons. put the super shotgun into t+t, have it eat up 3 shotgun shells per shot, and have it just raw insta at any range short of snipertown
