I don't catch up on my family history all though I should. All I remember from the little I've been told was that my great-great grandfather I believe was a private in the Union army during the American civil war. Well, then again LOTS of people were in the Civil war...

- Commodore Matthew Perry, Oliver's brother who engaged in stuff with Japan (17th cousin as well)
- Benedict Arnold, revolutionary war traitor to 13 colonies, British brigadier general (13th cousin)
- Benedict Arnold, my great x9 grandfather iirc, first governor of Rhode Island and through him that the famous Benedict Arnold is named
- George W. Bush, also directly related to the Rhode Island governor, Benedict Arnold (35th cousin)
- James Garner, actor (mom says we are related through a great great aunt or something, I haven't traced though)
- King Ynir, great x29 grandfather, king of Wales in the 12th century, killed in battle
- Michael Fought, not famous, but fought in Pennsylvania during the American Revolution

My friend's dad was the lead of the multiplayer engineering team for Halo 4. iirc his mom worked for Microsoft at one point as well, and even was the lead developer for Encarta at one point.
