Author Topic: How do you unplug things?  (Read 1186 times)

Huh. Weird.

Oh well, I'm sure it works for you.
I don't think ours have breakers, as far I know. But all UK plugs must have a fuse inside them for the same reason.

First i lather it with lube, second I massage it a little, third I then firmly grasp and lightly but forcifully rip the damn thing out.

Turn off the device, pull from wall in a straight yanking motion, and drop it on the floor.

i grab a gun and shoot myself

Do US plug sockets not have switches??
That's crazy.

I know the UK plugs really are some of, if not are, the safest plugs in the world. But I kinda thought being able to turn off the Mains Supply before taking a plug out or sticking it in was a given everywhere.
I'm guessing US sockets don't need switched due to a lower voltage (120 volts)
in the UK, however, it's 240 volts, and so it's not a bad idea to turn it off so you don't shock yourself
from what I've heard it's also safer to have 240 volts so it blasts you off with pain rather than shocking you to death

nah plugs with switches is just british people being crazy

With force and little thought of consequences.

With a fork in both hands

Grasp the plug at the base, pull plug out (wiggle if necessary), done.

me, being british, ask it to do so and it comes out. this applies to many other british things

you now see why our sockets > american ones

Can confirm

BY RIPPING OUT THE PLATE FROM THE loving WALL.
