Author Topic: Is just me or Tablets are slowly fading away?  (Read 1074 times)

I've noticed a huge lack of interest lately when it comes to tablets, now everyone is talking about phones again, I can understand most of the tablet sizes can be very unpratical, compared to a laptop, an ultrabook or maybe even a phablet, or that's just me? Just a curious thing I've been thinking about lately.

No?

I still see people using them at home more but really you can't carry one safely...

Yes but I've noticed that even companies are not even caring about it as much as they did a few years ago.

tablets were basically mini laptops for more on the go things, + it could just be less advertising

not travelling not tableting

Why would you need an Ipad when you can get a laptop that is smaller?

All they're really good for is consuming content and not as good for creating it. Considering how light weight many laptops have gotten I'm not surprised they're not as popular.

As laptops become more portable people are going with those. They are way better than a tablet.
If I was able to I'd trade my tablet for a mini laptop.

i hate the phone/tablets
these devices suck at being either one. XD

If anything, tablets AND phones are fading. Those new watches are pretty cool, the Samsung ones.
You look pretty alright talking in to your wrist, all futuristically.

i have me a laptop sized android tablet does that count
it broke though

Maybe the reason they're "fading" is because when they first came out everyone is like "wow look at this new thing!!!" and now it's just a regular thing. They definitely still have their uses though.

Except barely any of those watches work without a phone.

Smartwatches can't replace cellphones simply because the screen is too loving small to do anything.

all you need is a flip phone
call
and text

but really, most tablets can't do much but go on the internet and get the apple/google play apps, you can't really call with them unless you use skype (or your iphone if it's an ipad)
the new thing people thought was cool was the touchscreen but it's a common feature in phones nowadays
they can be good for kids to play with and for people who don't want a phone plan but otherwise nah

phones already do all the things tablets do and are more portable
there is pretty much no benefit to using a tablet, imo
