does it just not matter at all where you are aiming? Is it all about the timing?

It looks like arcade basketball. Are the shooting mechanics based on when you release after you jump? Dunking doesn't look that realistic imo, you should add something to make it better. Maybe when you dunk you get pushed back a little by the force of the slam?

Is this all inspired by NBA Jam or a similar arcade basketball game? The on fire basketball reminds me of NBA Jam.
