Info
______________________________________________
Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar, former storyboard artist, writer, and composer for Adventure Time. It is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and is the first show by the studio to be created by a woman. The series, rated TV-PG, premiered on Cartoon Network in North America on November 4, 2013.

Plot
______________________________________________

In Steven Universe, the world is protected from evil by the Crystal Gems, a group of intergalactic warriors who draw their power from special magical gem stones. The four Gems are Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven. Steven is a boy who inherited a gemstone from his mother, a Crystal Gem named Rose Quartz. As Steven tries to figure out the secrets of his gem, he spends his days in Beach City doing activities with the other Crystal Gems, whether it's helping them save the universe or just hanging out.

Spoilers! Highlight to reveal.

Throughout the first season it is slowly revealed that the four Crystal Gems in Beach City are the remnants of a once great interplanetary civilization of Gems. Most of the locations visited by the Gems are ruined shrines or locations that were once of great importance to Gem culture, but have become derelict and fallen into disrepair during thousands of years of neglect. The second half of the season deals with this theme in greater depth, revealing that the Gems are cut off from their home world and that the monsters and artifacts they encounter throughout their adventures are actually Gems who have lost the ability to maintain rational humanoid forms. In the last few episodes of the season, it was also made clear that the plans of the "Homeworld Gems" for Earth and its inhabitants were not benign – and that after 5,000 years, their attention is once again drawn towards Earth.

Characters
______________________________________________

Steven Universe (voiced by Zach Callison) – Steven is the goofy oddball of the team. He may not be as powerful as the other Gems. Or as smart. But he always finds a surprising way to save the day!

Garnet (voiced by Estelle) – A strong and disciplined warrior, Garnet is the unofficial leader of the group. She's a Gem of few words, letting her powerful gauntlets do the talking.

Amethyst (voiced by Michaela Dietz) – Amethyst is the wild child of the Crystal Gems. She loves to roughhouse with Steven and trade jokes. Her weapon is a crystal whip she conjures from the gem in her chest.

Pearl (voiced by Deedee Magno) – Pearl is a total perfectionist who's easily flustered when something messes up her plans. That something is usually Steven. Her weapon of choice is a magical spear.

Greg Universe
Back in the day, Steven's dad used to be a one-man rock band. Now he runs a car wash in Beach City. He and Steven are best buds!

Lars
Lars is a high school slacker who works at Steven's favorite snack shop, the Big Donut.

Sadie
Sadie is a clerk at the Big Donut. She's supportive of Steven's adventures, if only to make Lars angry.

because stuffty popular shows

So I haven't seen either of these shows
Can someone explain why they're so stuff?

steven universe isn't bad while I could write an uncle grandpa episode while on acid

steven universe isn't bad while I could write an uncle grandpa episode while on acid

This is so much less interesting than the (comically minor) Gravity Falls and Rick & Morty crossover.

SHOW

because stuffty popular shows
1. uncle grandpa isnt popular
2. forget you

because stuffty popular shows
ay steven universe isnt that bad

its just advertised really poorly

uncle grandpa on the other hand...

i personally think that steven universe has dreadful writing, but the concept is ok

uncle grandpa is on such a high level of terribad that i can't even describe it properly

uncle grandpa is made for 8 year olds who have runny noses and let the snot cover their entire face

This is so much less interesting than the (comically minor) Gravity Falls and Rick & Morty crossover.
That's the crossover where the items from the Mystery Shack's basement go flying into a portal and end up coming out of a portal in that one episode of Rick & Morty, right? Did those items even ever show up again?

Also, i swear to God, Steven being able to use his gem's powers on command has been a big part of the show's plot, if this crossover with Uncle Grandpa, no less, ends up actually unlocking his powers, especially considering how Uncle Grandpa always manages to help a child need, i will be flipping ALL the tables ;___;

uncle grandpa is made for 8 year olds who have runny noses and let the snot cover their entire face
So it's perfect for the KND! :cookieMonster:
