wonder how'd that work, like a mode where everyone works on the same city with the same resources, and another mode where everyone gets a starting territory a bit away from each other with their own resources and eventually they connect.
That first one is how I would think it would work, the second one would be odd to work with.

yeah looking back on it it doesn't seem like it'd work too well

weird, cuz I think the second idea would work better. ya don't have to worry about syncing up players as much if they arn't messing around in the same tile at the same time. unless that's not what you mean by "same city"

Both ideas would work very well. The first one you just have multiple "controllers" or players working on the same city. The fun would come out of battling your friends for what to buy and how to adjust the taxes etc. The second idea is also easy to do. Have different people start in areas not connected to each other. Once you buy enough land to connect you can have commerce and people go from one city to the next, increasing both parties' profits. You could impose harsher taxes on tourists from other cities. Maybe you don't want your people traveling to 4/20blazeitvile where the environment is just bad and block them off from your city. You probably shouldn't be able to build in other zones not owned by you except for connecting highways and trains.

man this game looks so cool
def gonna have to get it soon

does it have the difficulty of sim city 4?

the people who made this also made Cities In Motion, which I didn't even know about until I saw a screenshot of this game's main menu and noticed that the design looked really familiar
I liked that game a lot. I'll probably get this one too sometime

Cities In Motion is focused on public transport and stuff. like, you build all the roads, you make bus routes, and stuff like that. it's pretty cool
the city just builds itself though, you don't choose any specific areas or anything (there are different areas though, and you can set the ticket prices for certain areas, which is nice), and you don't have to worry about crime or fire or any of that
you just have to worry about ticket prices and making sure everyone gets picked up properly and all that stuff
there's no limit when it comes to the size of the city which is probably my favorite part

edit for clarification: by no limit to the size of the city I mean that you can use all of the land as soon as you want to, but the land itself is limited

they give you new land in this game like way too quickly lol

i guess it's nice if you have a bad starting area but you typically don't need anything but your initial region for a long while

not that it's a bad thing, more space is always nice. i guess it's also good if you want to have an industry specialisation or something

No.

so then it sucks...
the difficulty is what made the sim games simulation, and game.
otherwise its just another plop-able city generator for creating screenshots for desktop backgrounds.
meh

Pretty much. Not enough building variety either, so not that great for screenshots.

what's pretty neat is how transport lines in here work like cities in motion too

for buses you can choose where stops go, what side of the street they are, and it shows you how they'll go.

then, you can make more routes, change how transportation works with their budget, etc.
