Author Topic: should marijuana be legalized for recreational use?  (Read 9277 times)

I actually completely agree with you. I just hate it when people are mislead to believe that weed is side-effect free

If someone were to smoke two to three joints a week, there probably wouldn't be any noticeable side-effects unless the smoker has a history of physical or mental health issues.

As of our current understanding, weed is practically harmless as a drug, compared to legal recreational drugs like alcohol and caffine. When it comes down to it, all issues lies within recreational usage and moderation. If a responsible, legal adult wanted to smoke a reasonable amount marijuana in his or her private property, there shouldn't be an issue.

This is assumed, though.

You don't get what I mean. The euphoria is the wanted effect, anything else is a side effect.
No I totally understand what you mean. I just stopped taking you seriously lmfao

1. Smoking will become popular again (to at least some extent)
2. Alcohol is a problem currently, let's just legalise another mind altering substance
3. DWI??? Legalise weed??? Profit.
4. Kids breathed cigarette smoke at one point because smoking was a pandemic. Oh wait weed's ok for kids to inhale? cool
all of these are ASSUMED effects of legalization.

They are, but are plausible.

Give a kid a knife it's not certain they will hurt themselves but it's more likely.

Your point being?
More research needs to be done to create a guideline for the recommended daily weed intake, like alcohol.

Its difficult to do research on a drug that is kept illegal

if said kid is taught the dangers of the knife he will be much less likely to hurt himself

Going to the beach makes it more likely that you get eaten by a shark, too.

Marijuana and it's effects have been studied extensively in both humans and animals.

Well if there is research then it should be put out to the public like research done on tobacco and alcohol.

Probably since it's illegal nobody bothers to publicise it since you're not supposed to have it anyway.

If they do, their body absolutely tells them not to do it again.

That is the most ignorant thing i have ever read
