Author Topic: Pizzaria in my town raises $842k over gays rights debacle, reopens to full house  (Read 34918 times)

so kearn is one of those fire and brimstone types right?

the restaurant already said they're more than willing to serve gays. the only thing they said is that they won't participate in a theoretical ceremony
exactly

i don't know how selling a schizophrenic a knife is going to help share the Word any more than having the government force people under anti-discrimination ordinances is going to

Christ in staples, as if the demonification of gays wasn't bad enough we're on to the mentally disabled now too? Do you people have a bigotry quota or something?

Looks like it. I thought they were a dying breed, but I guess I should remember that the westboro baptist church is still active.

there's a difference between feeding a gay person and participating in their ceremony.
You're right, so why are we having this discussion?
All they'd be doing is feeding 2 (maybe a few more) homos and a few dozen-few hundred straight people.
They're not in the audience and watching and attending or anything

Are we going back to the 1950's or something when blacks were denied service for their color?

In the end it seems unfair to deny anyone service just on how they are. People are now going to start taking advantage of this use it to throw out literally anyone who is different in some way.

The state shouldn't make allowances for bigots to discriminate because they feel it's justified by their literally thousands of years old favorite book. If I ran an insurance company and decided that God didn't want me capping rates for those with pre-existing conditions that would obviously be absurd, but it's different in no way. Similarly, we wouldn't condone a business who refused to cater for interracial weddings. There shouldn't even be a debate about this ridiculous issue for so many reasons.

This is one backwards ass comment.

yeah lets force all obgyns to do abortions since its not their abortion

what part of THEY WILL SERVE GAYS did you not get at any point during this entire debacle? THEY WILL SERVE GAYS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE CEREMONIES. comparing this in any way to what happened during the post-slavery era is despicable. gay people are not being subjected to inferior services from both public and private organizations on a societal level.

i don't know how selling a schizophrenic a knife
Yes yes but these people are not Schizophrenic people with knives. YES all sin is bad but at the same time there are different SINS. They should all be dealt with according to the kind of sin and i think homoloveuality is something Christians really jump the gun on. A good way of sharing the Gospel is through our actions sometimes rather than words.

Holy forget lmao
You just love saying the same thing over and over to the same person, ignoring them every time they refute it, don't you?
Oh wait, dumb question. You're a Christian, of course you do

That's not the situation.

Say we have an obgyn who offers abortion as a service. A rape victim who has become pregnant as a result of her loveual assault attempts to obtain an abortion from this obgyn, but the obgyn declines, claiming that pregnancies resulting from rape are divine will, and the obgyn is unwilling to go against God's will. The state learns of the situation and passes a law barring discrimination against rape victims. The obgyn must now either perform the abortion or cease to offer abortions as a service (or else continue discrimination and face legal consequences).

wow what an argument. so tolerant and inclusive!

How?
You are suggesting that the country is going back in progress to a point where people were discriminated, shunned, and even lynched because of their skin color. Just because a restaurant wouldn't cater for a gay wedding because it is against their beliefs.
