So my school got 3 new students and one of them is a complete SJW. Now, I try to not judge people, but this girl is a serious bitch. In my US History class, we had to do a family tree project to see where our ancestors are from/immigration/Ellis Island stuff. This girl, we'll call her Eleanor, wasn't in my class, this detail is important. My mother wanted me to be more in touch with our heritage (Native American) so she sent me traditional clothing of our tribes (Creek, Choctaw). For my project, I thought it'd be pretty cool to wear some of it while I spoke about my heritage. One of the things I have was this turban looking hat with feathers sticking out the back of it, I don't know the actual name of it, but anyways, I have that and a patterned coat. I walked into school wearing my stuff and Eleanor sees me and runs over. She yelled at me for "cultural appropriation" or some stuff like that and how I wasn't allowed to wear a turban because it might offend Hindus. She also went on a tirade about my coat and how Native Americans are the most oppressed people in this country and how I was stealing their culture and how scummy I am for wearing it as a straight white cis male. Everybody in my school was in the hallway at that point just watching this stuff go down, she keeps ripping on me for how offensive I am and how if she were a Native American she would kick my ass and how I'm so scummy.
At this point, I'm fed up with her, and pretty forgetin pissed that I can't wear my own people's clothing without getting ridiculed by these ill informed idiots. She continued on about how Native Americans have a beautiful culture and how I'm defiling it by wearing the clothes and how I'm so stuffty. I told her, alright, thanks for your opinion, but I'm entitled to wear these clothes with pride. This pushes her over the edge and she starts loving screaming at me about how I'm a tribal and how I'm oppressing Native Americans by stealing their culture. I pulled out my wallet and showed her my tribal membership card (basically certifies that you have a certain % of blood in you and that you're considered officially a member of that tribe)
Her jaw drops and she tries to think of some way to refute that. I also added that I'm not even straight and I'm majority native blood, even though I have green eyes. She shoved me, started crying and ran to the counselors office, and I got called in on allegations that I "bullied" her and that I'm being a tribal. I showed the counselor my card and explained why I was wearing that and he told her to stop picking fights. She got ISS for putting her hands on me as well.
TL;DR Wear my tribe's clothes for presentation, get called a tribal, SJW shoves me and gets suspended
