mostly because I don't think there are any recent high-quality videos of a black person shooting a white person in the back

or people getting shot in the back in general. that seems like a rarity these days.

The protesters for this baffle me in some regards, just like with the fraternity in Oklahoma. The cop has been fired and is charged with murder. What else do you want the justice system to do that isn't violating the officer's own right to due process?

I think it's ridiculous that cops are acting like this though, whether it was genuine fear and panic or classic bigotry. They have to realize the entire country is watching them in situations like this.

People want police departments to start using body cameras and to stop lying on police reports (the original police report for this incident only mentioned a scuffle and that the assailant was trying to taser the police officer.)

I know lots of people with shattered phone screens. I got a flip phone in 2007 then in 2009 I got one of those sliding phones, still use it to this day. Phone falls out of my hand? Lands on the ground intact, worse that has ever happened is the battery popping out. Friends smart phone falls? Screen shatters.

I'm and advocate for them because they can work in the favor of the officer by reducing the amount of complaints.
