What is it with the cops lately? Its like they've gone crazy
no, it's because their view is becoming more and more "us vs. them" because of the way tHE loving PEOPLE REACT TO IT
holy stuff guys, i don't wanna seem like the ultra-oppressor but the reason cops are going to stuff is because of how loud people are making their voice here. the news is practically overblowing EVERY SINGLE thing they do, and i've been seeing more and more people be like "forget THOSE PIGS SHOOT THEM DOWN"
like holy damn, i feel sorry for the police these days because the good ones are being grouped up with bad ones, almost more than how people say all southern people are rednecks. also, the more and more people begin to hate the police, the more and more that the newer generations are going to start taking after them.
I remeber a really good video, from FOX news actually,
take a look at this loving thing. What happened to this guy? he got fired, like holy stuff
i RARELY ever see news agencies actually put up a week straight talking about the things that police officers ACTUALLY DID GOOD with. what do I get? i get a week long news broadcast over the same goddamned shooting, with the exact same headlines as all the rest
"BLACK UNARMED TEEN SHOT BY tribal WHITE MALE OFFICER"now people are acting like there's going to be some kind of revolution over like 3-5 situations, which in total may count up to like 14-20 officers involved. people always go "agh stuff why aren't all these cops being put to court?!?!?!?" well guess what pal, internal affairs is
most likely investigating them. just let me get a quote from harm94 here that really gets into this good;
Yep yep, yes sir. People are too uneducated and too stubborn to actually do any proper research on just about anything. There is a reason the police have armored cars, heavier body armor, ARs, etc. People look at that stuff and cry police militarization without even knowing what 90% of stuff is even for or why they really have it.
They look at an AR15, they cry machine gun that can mow down a thousand babies in one trigger pull to oppress people. The real reason was because of the 1998 north Hollywood shootout when two bank robbers had home made body armor and full auto AKs, G3s, and AR types rifles and this was during the assault weapon ban mind you. Only swat had access to ARs at the time, all the police had were semi-auto handguns, maybe a revolver if they were older, and a shotgun. All of which were useless in stopping those two guys.
Body armor? Response to the same issue and also the fact that the number of people who want to kill police has gone up over the years.
Camo? Blame the fact that no one wants to make blue uniforms any more.
Police departments now all of the saddening buying all this stuff? Blame the War on Terror and the liberal handing out of grants by our federal government. There are some PDs that will never need an APC or an MRAP, but there are plenty that might like LAPD in the Heavy gang parts of town as well as Detroit PD, Stockton pd, Oakland pd, etc.
Riot Gear? Blame the selfish people who are willing to destroy a half a city block to get a television. Or the people waiving che flags and smashing the windows of banks, and the people setting fire to cars and yelling "forget the government".
There is police brutality and racism, but the media makes it worse. Remember the SARS epidemic and how media said it was the worst epidemic every? I don't remember seeing land fills of dead sick people. Remember bird flu? I don't remember large quarantine zones. Swine flu? I don't remember there being a large death toll here on that either. Ebola, remember that? Bath Salts? That must have been the worst epidemic, am I right? I remember all the panic it created. Point is, the media likes drama. More drama means more entertainment, more entertainment means they have a product, when they have a product they can try produce it more and create more views. Fox, CNN, NY Times, they don't care about you, me, or racism. It's all about doing what it takes to get views for the all mighty green back.
You will catch more flies with sugar than you will with salt. Even Martin Luther King Jr said you have fight darkness with light and hate with love. Fighting police brutality with acts of violence and hate speech is just fighting darkness and hate with darkness and hate. Getting a proper education in law enforcement, going on ride alongs, peacefully demonstrating and writing to your politicians is the way to do it. Not slacktivism and not Violence.
i don't give a forget if our officers wear camoflauged uniforms, it's just a damn color, it's not like they're going to hide behind your plastic potted plant and shoot your kid with an AR-15 coming from school because he was carrying a suspicious backpack and was wearing red.
people also cry out "MY RIGHTS!!!!!" when an officer stops them for carrying a loving M4 or shotgun on their back IN PUBLIC AREAS just to see if they have their licenses or not. plus, people never really even think about the area itself's laws on open carrying.
then, we've got the idiots who begin to start acting like cops are good for nothing and that all we need are more and more and more and more guns, and that everyone in the US should just have guns to protect ourselves and get rid of those damned cops!!!!
of course, there are bad cops, i'm not going to deny that. there are bad cops that will do stuff, and that stuff's going to get recruited. what do you do? REPORT THOSE CORRUPTED COPS. don't send that stuff to the news and let them overblow it to absolute hell and make people go through another "AAAAHHHHH lets start a REVOLUTION", that's just going to make cops hate you even more
don't treat a cop like an starfish and they won't treat you like an starfish. don't rub your stuffty "us vs them" crap onto your normal city, neighborhood, town cop or your local sheriff.
