Author Topic: YouTube has a new look for the video player in currently in BETA  (Read 2053 times)

Apparently YouTube has decided to make a new theme for the video player, but it has not been published out to the public yet and can only be accessed through editing cookies.

To get this beta theme, you have to change the value of VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE to Q06SngRDTGA. The only way to get this is through a extension/plug-in that can edit cookies. EditThisCookie seems like the best one for Google Chrome as of right now.

Also yes, it works for those 360 angle videos as well.

it looks like it came from one of those youtube spinoffs

how the hell did anyone even find out about this, wut

how the hell did anyone even find out about this, wut

People scouring through code or a leak, I would assume.

Pretty and all, but it's probably just as broken if not moreso than the normal one.

oh stuff this is awesome

it looks okay, i'm not too much of a fan of it

p much seems like they're trying to make the browser player consistent with youtube on other platforms, which all have a p consistent style similar to this

okay so I edited the cookie but nothing has happened :v does it only work in chrome or something?

As far as I know, it requires the HTML5 player being enabled.
