Author Topic: My school was almost bombed (The Counter-Columbine Blockland server thread)  (Read 4957 times)

I was thinking a murder mystery type game where a "student" needs to duck out of classes to plant bombs places trying not to alert anybody or trigger alarms. And if you do, the lockdown begins.
This is an excellent idea

I don't think the game should be about uh, students and school; since uh, you'll get arrested if it get's know.
It's a good concept, but the setting is vile.
You could put it on any other settings, Payday 2 is pretty much terrorist-attack simulator. It's just that the US is more sensitive to student attacks and stuff.
If you're going to develop this as your first game, I don't know if the media likes that. I mean look at how much MW2 got for No Russian, and even Payday 2 gets negative attention.

I mean a game where you would plant bombs in public settings like an airport would be a rad concept, you just have to deal with the media absolutely tearing you up, and Steam possibly pulling you from their store.

My local community college gets bomb threats weekly. I've never heard of it blowing up though so it's just a dumb waste of time that nobody really takes seriously anymore.

Who cares what the media says if you're getting money from everyone buying the game lol

Valve MADE a game about a terrorist attack simulation type thing called counter strike. They have payday 1 and 2 on steam. GTA for christ sake that stuff has rape in it. I don't think they'll pull a game for bad things happening in a school type location.

Hatred will be an amazing game as well.

idk why people are laughing at the arrested thing when kids have been arrested for replicating their school in CS in the US

actually, that happened in canada.

I don't understand it though. Those middle eastern maps with dusty streets and markets are literally someone's neighborhood. Is that offensive?

Hey don't ask me I'm not the police. I just assumed because it happened multiple times.
Just trying to give some advice, sheesh.

hey op you live in Ilwaco?
