Author Topic: carolcat is finally getting a new computer  (Read 1786 times)

Honestly like I said before Optical drives are kind of useless unless your the type of person who plays music through a cd in your computer or dvds, you can install Windows using a flashdrive.

Other than that I say its a solid build.
i didn't realize at first that somehow there was a forgetin gtx titan on that build instead of the other card they listed on the site i first looked at so ignore that link

i sometimes use my optical drive, but i reckon i could ditch one if needs must

I get along fine without an optical drive, I installed windows via flashdrive. One less thing for me to clean.

i hope you realize that some people still buy the disk versions
/facepalm

You buy the disk version, but if you install the iso from the disk, you will see a wall of updates waiting for you, where as if you get the iso off the site the latest update is already included.

Basically whenever you buy the os package what your paying for is the CD's I don't know if you knew but cd's with all these holograhic anti piracy stuff is pretty pricy, if Microsoft Just sold Window's Keys odds are Windows would be cheaper considering they would not be producing cd's anymore.

i'm thinking i might get one of the NZXT phantoms and just look into rearranging my battle station to accommodate the new desktop orientation. the phantom 630 looks pretty nice but i might just stick to the 530.

For the love of all things good in on this good earth, do not buy that Origin computer. That is SUCH a ripoff.

updated the parts list a little bit
