2 "unassigned" friend requests on steam

this week I have gotten 2 "unassigned" friend requests on steam and if I try to view they're profiles one says "user has not made a steam account" and one is just a private profile. Why do I keep getting requests from these people?

i heard that if you accept requests from these phishing guys, more will come onto you.

just ignore them, they can be annoying but honestly i have gotten 13 frs per week from these guys. trust me when i say this, there's no immediate end to them. you keep getting more because you accepted one request.

i always accept them just so they can ask me if they can steal my account and i say no and block them

usually those accounts only exist to get you

They're phisher bots trying to hack your account for your steam items.

Block them, report them, then go on with your day.

Usually if their name says [unassigned], they are already banned from Steam. Or so I've heard.

afaik, steam users need to now spend a minimum of 5.00 into the steam store in order to become premium (send friend requests and stuff)

I just deny anyone with steam level 0, private profile and unrecognizable name. Problem solved.

I've accepted a few, but then removed them after finding out they're actually spambots.

I just block the rest. I've got 44 people blocked (which includes non-bots I blocked for other reasons).

i only get 4 per year
