I like how all of the initial suggestions were fast two-door cars and the two vehicles you put under "Progress" are both SUVs.

I tried making an Audi R8 once. I couldn't get a blockhead to fit inside it in a way I could be proud of.

An RX-7 isn't fast

Actually it's not that slow, but compared to the cars suggested yes XD, and no one has done a BL viper and I can't model so this was the one chance I had to have a viper in blockland. I did try but I couldn't even get the basic front end of the car in blender, so yeah.
