I've decided to start a daily thread that I'll update giving a daily details of events that have happened. each day will contain around 1 to 5 events throughout the years, I will only talk about events up to 1999

April 24th
  • 1877: Russo-Turkish War begins
  • 1916: Easter Rising of Irish republicans against British occupation begins in Dublin
  • 1916: Ernest Shackleton and five men of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition launch a lifeboat from uninhabited Elephant Island in the Southern Ocean to organize a rescue for ice-trapped ship Endurance
  • 1953: Winston Churchill knighted by Queen Elizabeth II
  • 1961: JFK accepts "sole responsibility" following Bay of Pigs
  • 1971: Soyuz 10 returns to Earth


When will updates occur?
This will probably be updated around 4pm every day except weekends

Why only up until 1999?
Well, most people would already know the stuff but I may make an exception and make it up to like 2007 or something
