Author Topic: kid gets charged for changing school computers background wallpaper to men lovin  (Read 1607 times)

What has this got to do with anything?
lol i was just responding to him

Our school's admin passes seem to be the same length as their usernames, so I'm not surprised if both are the same.

I'm not sure why else they would suspend him
I mean yeah it's a harmless prank and probably should have gotten in trouble for going on a teachers computer but suspending him wasn't needed
...do you even know what censorship is

...do you even know what censorship is
all I'm saying is they're trying to censor something that shouldn't be

The moment people forget what censorship is is the day censorship has already won  :cookieMonster:

I don't know how else to express my feelings beyond mildly pinching the bridge of my nose.

lmao me and my fellow class mates do this all the time to eachother in my visual basic class when someone forgets to log off. oh man the reactions are priceless every time

you could have told me why I'm wrong but clearly you think you're above that for whatever reason

it's more that i find it incredible that someone doesn't understand such a basic concept as "school appropriate"

it obviously isn't appropriate to them but I don't like why he was charged for it

He was charged for it as a "cybercrime" because they were idiots who didn't understand basic network security and overreacted.
I am still not seeing what "censorship" has got to do with anything.

because I thought they were trying to censor men kissing

The reason they were suspended was for gaining access to a system they weren't authorized to use... It seems rather harsh seeing that it was clear no real harm was done.

all censorship is dumb
Yes it is...

Green’s mother says she understands her son did something wrong, but that an arrest seems unnecessary. She also noted that it should be more difficult for students to access the system.

No one should tolerate Internet censorship anywhere, this lady's son has a right to do this to a teacher that he hates, I would've done the same.
