Author Topic: kid gets charged for changing school computers background wallpaper to men lovin  (Read 1598 times)

My school makes usernames as the student's six digit ID number (first initial + last name for teachers). Passwords are first initial + last initial + birth date (MM/DD/YY). Getting into accounts is freaking easy, not that I've done that.

I got suspended for 2 weeks, because of doing developer tooMe and changing one word on my school website to "boom"

ban him from the blockland forums in case he doses the master server!!!
Why the honest forget would I do that, I love this place, and in no way shape or form is the almighty and powerful Badspot imposing internet neutrality...

A friend of mine got suspended from our sixth form college because he sent a picture of a tomato via e-mail to our Principal.

He also got suspended form our secondary school for sending a picture of a potato to all school accounts via e-mail.

I don't know what's up with that boy and e-mailing vegetables yeah, yeah, I know a tomato is technically a fruit to people.

Yes it is...

No one should tolerate Internet censorship anywhere, this lady's son has a right to do this to a teacher that he hates, I would've done the same.
no, he does not have the "right" to break into a private computer and mess with it. the arrest and charge us unnecessary, but he should be punished for breaking into a private machine

My friends and I are still confused over it to this day.
Why did he decide to do it? Why a potato/tomato? Why from his school/college e-mail addresses? Why did he do it twice, after being punished the first time?

Why did the school/college punish him for doing something so harmless?
These are questions we will probably never had answered. He won't explain why he did it.
