Author Topic: New to Batch! Please help.  (Read 383 times)

Okay, so I get some of the basics of batch. But there's some things I don't understand yet;

When you do "set /a" what is /a doing?
How do you load text from a notepad file?
How do you write text to a notepad file?
Is there a way to encrypt the information in that notepad file, so anyone opening it won't be able to understand and edit it?
How do I play sounds without having to open a WMplayer file?
How do I CERTAIN PARTS of text? (Not just making all text green, red, etc)

Okay, that's it. Please dumb down the answers for me. Thanks!

It's not a real language so there's not much you can do with it.

My school hasn't banned .bat files yet, that's the only reason I want to use it.

Shoot.
Well, TextRPGs are still an option.
