tornado while doing volunteer work

I thought you were supposed to try and get underground, rather than just inside a big building? Surely a theatre is just as susceptible to a Tornado as a shack, or standing outside? (Not that I have any experience with Tornados at all, having never seen one in person).

You're suppose to get underground or into a ditch/hilly area.

Tornadoes are scary but after a while you get used to them.

Perhaps the theater has a basement? You are right about the underground thing though, that is recommended.

I have yet to see a tornado, but it's one of the things I must see before I die. Closest that one has come to me was about a mile, but it was just a short tracked EF0 and just broke some trees. That was December 31, 2010.
