This probably is possible. I have a mod on my server where wheels can be shot out on cars. If the vehicle has a specific set of nodes, it could be edited to change the damage output on the vehicle's health.

wonder if stratofortress will attempt to script this as part of his proof of concepts

Would any of this armour deflection melarcky be possible without any serious latency?
it should be pretty easy for something like this to be done, even at worst case of somebody shotgunning a car with like 15 bullets, I doubt there would be any noticeable calculation time
it's really just calculating the angle of the car + bullet and doing trig, it's not too complicated

Well, my confidence has been revived.  I'll check out Stratofortress and see what he's up to.

Entirely understandable.

They are your own add-ons, after all.  For example, if I made a playertype with it's own model, sounds and actions bound to specific keys and coded so that only my BLID and others of my choosing can use it -Say, either this: http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/8/80630/1725019-nineball04.jpg

Then I wouldn't release it no matter how much people asked for it, unless they just happen to be a close friend.  They can go and make their own model.

As long as you host it publicly it's possible to steal the model.
