Purpose of university (or college) is to get that piece of paper at the end, that's all. Learning things on the way is just a bonus to me.

I don't see what's funny? I'm stuff at code, I'm not a coder and I don't want to code.

I think we've already worked out the fact that you're a 16 year old American and know nothing about how the British university system works. Also you're a brony lol.

Also you're a brony lol.
This is relevant to the education system how exactly? Judging by your work ethic I probably know more about your country than you because I actually do my work instead of being lazy. Also please enlighten me as to how foreign academics work seeing as you seem to have them memorized.

Just pretty ironic you call people lazy and then proceed to copy other people's stuff because you're lazy.
Also stop saying he doesn't know how the university system works, it doesn't matter if it's American or Britisch or Mogadishian or whatever, they all use ECTS or at least a Bachelor/master system and you're there to gather certain competences which are tied to a paper, so when someone gets that paper he has a general idea of what you're capable of. Also the fact that he's a brony doesn't change anything atall and is completely wholly irrelevant.

I think this whole topic proves that I have work ethic, brony.

I'm not a coder, I've never said I'm a coder and I don't particularly want to be a coder.
I'll use other codes because I'm not a coder.
I think that's clear enough.

See that's the problem, the piece of paper you get implies to anyone that reads it (mostly people that you depend on for money) that you have coding competences. Also depending on what you're studying, not knowing how to code early on is gonna come back at you later duing your Bachelor end project or master.

brony.
Now you're just being immature.

Uh-huh
Usually for my assignments I just copy other peoples code lol
Oh wait I forgot my opinion doesn't matter because
brony.

Ah see, do you know what I do in university? Have you spoken to anyone who's doing the exact same degree as me? This one module (so probably 5% of my whole degree) is in C. After this, I will be studying other things. My degree isn't a coding degree.

p much.

Maybe a good idea would be to try to actually learn the code so you don't have to rely on others.

And my degree is also not a coding degree atall, but being able to code makes your life so much easier. Which is why they advertise it as an elective and put parts in your major as well, whatever your major may be. stuff like MATLAB, C++ or Java all make stuff (in my case physics) a lot easier to do, and while you might save time now copying it I bet whatever it is you're studying (except for psychology or philosophy) will give you a net time advantage if you can actually code. Everything with a lot of data (surveys, experiments) is so much easier when you can code.

I think you're missing the point that I was trying to avoid learning C, just because of how outdated and pointless the language is.
If you want to continue this, PM me or move it to another topic, it's not related to my metatopic.

I'll drop it then, just know that language (like C which is indeed outdated) doesn't matter as much as being taught how to solve the actual problem, which you are taught regardless of language.

So currently (aside from working on a little heist concept) progress is aimed at the starwars RPG.
I've put an offer through to Siba, that if he drops every project he is currently working on, to work on solitude with no distractions, I'll pick up the build and complete it and host it within a couple months.
Waiting to hear back from him. I told him to have a good think about it.
I'll keep everyone posted.

Dangit, I didn't know you ever hosted the Pirate RPG. I wanted to play that, and somehow missed it. :(

Anyway, you make some pretty darn good servers Furdel. :)

thanks :)
I only hosted it for like 5 or 6 days.. Purely for fun to pass time. Probably will do some more Pirate RPG with mod ter later on!
