Author Topic: PC fell over and won't start back up, but makes clicking sound.  (Read 1507 times)

Guys, help please.
My comp fell over and started glitching out.
I shut it off then tried starting it again but it just won't stop making a clicking noise.
Anyone know the problem?

Umm, im not sure but this may be a problem in the Power Supply, then again, IM NOT SURE.

I'm not an expert on computers but I want to say the clicking is coming from your hard drive

Kick it a couple times

How hard did it fall over?

have you tried turning it off and back on again?

He already tried

How hard did it fall over?

On the motherboard side and on a rugged surface.

why don't you open it and make sure nothing's shuffled around ffs

Been doing that for forgets sake, and I don't know anything about computers. Nothing shuffled around.

The clicking sound means it's probably a moving part. I'd check on the HDs. It could also be an electrical arc or something if it's kind of like a zap.

stick it in her disk drive
take it to someone who knows about computers
like a repair shop or something

Yeah, most definitely your hard drive's arm is forgeted up.
