What's wrong with someone who is a Christian, or a Republican? I am aware that there are many radicals in the Republican party these days, but there are many who are progressive and not completely absurd still. Rand Paul is a great example on how you can be conservative, appealing, and reasonable at the same time.

um i suppose??
as long as they're not curbing peoples' rights in the name of their religion, i don't care.

a christian that disallows eating shellfish?

i don't tend to agree with the republican party on most issues (esp ones more important to me) and so it's unlikely that i would vote republican. similarly, religious viewpoints can be relevant in politics and cause similar disparities, though obviously it's not a safe thing to generalise upon solely. there's nothing inherently wrong with any of these things, it's just a matter of personal opinion

Ya! We can't become the UK!

the electoral college is stuff too
representative democracy isn't democracy.
and to thisREPUBLIC for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all

I've been out of highschool for almost four years now I already forgot that thing.

Anyway at its core the US is a republic, you vote for people to represent you. It has been argued that under a direct democracy the cities would dominate the elections. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing, especially if it comes to rural issues.

What I do know is that no system will truly be perfect or make everyone happy.

I dont know enough about any participants to say who I truly want as president but my political compass is more towards democracy, so I'll just vote for them.

Haven't said it since elementary school which was like 5-6 years ago but I can still remember that song.

Vote Liberal! Vote for Justin Trudeau!

Obama is certainly a foreign favourite, and so will miss Clinton if it's for sure she's running for president. Not that we have any say.

Vote Liberal! Vote for Justin Trudeau!

As far as political leaning goes, I just pick and pull the things I prefer like any independent would.
