stealing jobs? there are no jobs to steal
That's because free trade is what is destroying this country. We allowed businesses to do what they wanted and now look what happened - they outsourced jobs.
The US should adopt a protectionism policy forcing companies to move back into the United States. It was the second we started trading with China that we led this country to it's own downfall; the decline of american industry has forced us to rely more on foreign imports.
And if you look at the military aspect of things; we willing fund the Chinese military which currently is a threat to the US dominance and it's allies. The Chinese have increased their defense budget by 800% in the last decade and has plenty to show for it. They are now deploying plenty of new systems to defeat the US in the region whether it be the DF-21 (Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile aka carrier killer), HQ-9 (Air Defense system, reverse engineered Russian S-300), Classified ASAT (Anti-Satellite Missile which could threaten key US satellites in LEO), J-20 (Long ranged stealth fighter), J-31 (Almost a direct copy from the US F-35 stolen documents), etc. Again, a huge threat to the United States and it's allies and yet we are the ones who fund them.
As for Chinese companies, they are allowed to regularly copy american companies, and what do we do about it? Continue trade with them without any real punishment. Oh and not only that, but Chinese goods are about as expensive as the US today meaning there is really no reason for us to be buying from China.
I went a little off-topic there but whatever.
What I want to see in a president is someone who has a protectionism policy, tries to create jobs rather than just spend more on welfare, and supports the military, and is not a total pusillanimous individual when it comes to dealing which China or Russia.
