what does racism have to do with anything in this conversation?
Apparently saying "monday" is tribal in their book. Which, of course, makes zero sense.

Do you know what racism is?
Ya believing you're superior or less superior to another race. Calling someone a monday is talking down to black folk.

this thread is gold
didn't you contribute with your own bitter post about how much you hate women?

listen if you're white you have no right to say that without accepting the fact that people are gonna perceive it as tribal. you should have no real reason to say it, and even less of a reason to want to say it. the only reason black people can say it is because it's a racial slur against them, and they can decide to use it or not.
so if he's black, it's okay to be tribal
10/10
again if you're black and comfortable with using that word you aren't tribal, because it's mostly impossible for a black person to say that word and mean it with full tribal intent. even then it's weird.

you're either playing dumb or incredibly edgy

its not as much as I hate women, that I hate a certain stereotype of women.
And, bitter? Please. That's nothing.

"yeah the real bitter is you playing smash bros," he said, grinning smugly

Alright then I don't wanna incite the storm that actually comes from challenging that.

okay i'm going to assume you've been living under a rock but the word monday (with an a at the end if you want) has stopped being ultra-offensive since the 90's.

it's literally all about the context. if i said "listen monday get to the back of the bus" that would without a doubt be tribal. but if i said "how are you doing brother? okay?" then that wouldn't be tribal at all.

you're grasping at straws here, and it's really obvious.

dude

can't we just settle all these debates in SMASH

That would require me to give a damn what other people think, lol. As a general rule, I don't associate with people that stupid.

A. that's wrong
B. So people who aren't black are only tribal? Whoa, now I know.

you're either playing dumb or incredibly edgy
boo hoo

you have no position in this.
...and you do?

This is correct. Source: actual black people. Who aren't idiots, at any rate.

???
well you see
he's assuming that saying monday in any context is indeed tribal
which would imply that if a black person says it, it is indeed in "any context," and is therefore also tribal.

I'll freely admit, it wasn't the best way of saying that that was flawed to say the least. I know that the word has lost all offensive meaning except in  specific contexts, that was not one of them.

Yeah, no???

The use of the word monday by pretty much anyone other than blacks is considered an offense.

No it doesn't mean you go to lynch mobs and hate black people it just means you show an ignorance as to the coining of the word.

You guys are literally trying to associate a slur with a common word for kinship knowing damn well that's not how this particular word works.
