Wow, it's almost like I don't expect someone from Australia to give a forget about a word coined in American history.
Then don't try and call my stuff out when you know damn well it doesn't affect me.
It's like you assume a peanut gallery unto those who actually know the context of the word due to learning about it in basically any American history class.
Context of a word's history =/= the context of using a word in the present. Every word has been used for horrible intents and purposes at some point in history. Furthermore, if you trace the roots of many words you'll find they mean almost completely different things.
brother is just a sound, like any other sound we're capable of making. The only reason you get offended is because you choose to be offended by it, but unlike those who get offended by "handicap", I find it highly unlikely you were ever a slave or you were ever close to somebody who was a slave. Grow up.
