There's a chance these will be used next year as a control option for the FIRST Robotics Competition. They can already control robots on (and visualize!) Mars with these things. It's amazing.

at the rate tech is going, yeah I'm going to be able to see that
right now it'd certainly be an at-home thing, but if it becomes more common, I'm sure it'd become more widely used in public

like imagine designing stuff for this at 1:1 scale
and if it's hooked up to a beefy enough computer - and by the time this becomes cheap enough, they probably will be - you could simulate said design, stop, rewind, etc

Because you're in public. You don't need that stuff 24/7. Nobody is going to say "hey I'm going to go to the market to watch tv" idk

TBH, I would find this most useful in a work/home environment. As it is now, I don't see much use elsewhere. But I'm not gonna try to predict the future. ;)
